About this service

Build Extension Quotes is a free online tool that produces an indicative cost range for home extension work and introduces homeowners to local builders. We are an introduction service: we do not carry out building work ourselves. Our registered postal address is Glenbower Court, Hatfield Road, St Albans, AL4 0UH.

The quote is an estimate only

Every figure shown is an indicative range calculated from typical UK build costs and the answers you provide. It is not a quotation, an offer, or a contract.

A firm price can only be given by a builder after a site survey, once access, ground conditions, structural requirements, drawings and specification are known. The final price may be higher or lower than the range shown.

Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information about your property and project, to use the site only for genuine enquiries about your own property or one you are authorised to act for, and not to misuse or attempt to disrupt the site.

Introductions to builders

Where we introduce you to a builder, any contract for building work is between you and that builder. We are not a party to it and are not responsible for their workmanship, pricing, timescales, conduct or insurance.

We recommend you check references, insurance and warranty cover, and obtain a written contract and specification before work begins.

Planning and building regulations

Guidance on the site about permitted development, planning permission and building regulations is general information, not professional advice. Responsibility for obtaining the correct consents rests with you and your appointed professionals.

Liability

The site is provided on an as-is basis. To the extent permitted by law we exclude liability for any loss arising from reliance on an indicative estimate, from any dealings with an introduced builder, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

Intellectual property

The content, branding, guide and pricing model on this site belong to us. You may print or download material for your own personal use in relation to your project, but not republish it commercially.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms and our pricing model from time to time; the version published here applies to your use of the site. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
